PS- This is how I soothe MY anxiety

Yes, I, too, have anxiety. It may be less than it used to be, but nonetheless I have it from time to time.

Below is the 4-step hack I use to stop it before it starts.

I’ve gotten so accustomed to feeling GOOD that when I start to feel anxious, I pretty much can say to myself, “Uh oh! Something’s wrong, If you don’t stop this now, it will become a runaway train, and you’ve got shit to do today, girlfriend. Let’s start breathing and break this spell NOW!”

I don’t know about you, but when I feel anxious and I let it take me over, I feel like crap and want to curl up in a ball with blankets all around me.

Those days are over, though.

I’ve stepped up to a level of accountability to where I can no longer indulge this bad feeling that saps my energy, drains my dry of inspiration and renders me pretty much useless in an otherwise productive life where others depend on me to do something so they can do their job!

It’s just not acceptable anymore. So these are the steps I take pronto:

1- As soon as I notice this human emotion start to knock on my door, I answer it. I pay attention to it and ask what it’s trying to say to me. Where am I heading in the wrong direction? What thought did I entertain that got me this far into misery?

2- As soon as I identify the offending thought, I either reverse that thought, meaning I’ll proclaim the opposite of it which is usually the truth (truth is light, lie is heavy) or I simply remember who I am- an infinite being having a human experience.

3- I say things like…

“You know that everything always works out for you.”

“This is just a scary thought, and you know that you won’t let this scary situation get that far.”

“”You know that you can trust your Inner Being to guide you in the right direction at the right time.”

“You know that you can really relax and trust the Universe, right?”

Sometimes the anxiety goes quickly and sometimes it lingers for a while, so if that happens I do step 4:

4- I breathe deeply or go for a walk.

I hope that this helps you to see that anxiety is a human emotion that happens to everybody- even Oprah and Tony Robbins. As long as we are expanding, we will have anxiety because there’s always new, uncharted terrain that we’re forging into and it is unknown.

Your Success Is Imminent

My love…

Did you know that there is nothing but the stream of well-being?

There is a flow, a string of light that fills every iota of your being.

All we need to do is to surrender into it as deeply as we can at the moment.

It’s all what we focus on- do we see the good or do we see the bad?

I spent years in the bad. It kept me very busy.

Somewhere along the line I decided to jump tracks- largely because I started to believe that dreams really can come true, that fairies and unicorns could be possible and that my wildest imaginings weren’t vain, but actually part of my connection to a vast, growing universe that really might love me instead of punish me.

I started to expand.

I started to believe.

And I started to believe that I, me, little ol’ me, could be great.

You. Can. Too.

The punitive universe is something that humans came up with to keep us all in line in a time when we needed to for survival. But the way our parents were, the way the church portrays God, the way our schools and teachers guided us is not the way the universe works.

Your success is imminent. That means that it is obviously on its way. It is “Of COURSE!”

Our job is to open to that possibility. Could be scary to expand into all the goodness that you desire.

Can we be brave, courageous and bold enough to believe? What if life, money, blessings, support and love actually were really really easy. If only we could just relax and float in the stream of well-being.

I’ve learned that it is all right here for us hiding behind the veil of our fear of punishment, our fear of standing tall above the crowd, our fear of being all of who we are and showing our full Soul’s face.

What would happen if you really shared your full loving heart- WITHOUT the gooey, sticky, yucky co-dependence, but from a place of knowing that you are only love itself, connected to only love itself, in this vast universe of only love?

There is only beauty. There is only love. There is only peace. There is only bliss. There is only calm and centeredness and quiet confidence. And all that looks like it is not, is the lovely things that we, as humans, have thrown up in front of all this beauty to hide it from our view until we forget that it’s there.

There is ONLY the stream of well-being coming from Source. Only. We can relax into it. We can surrender into it. How good can we let it be? How easy can we let it get? How much can we surrender into it and float in its calm, warm, supportive waters?

This is my path- surrendering into the ease of it all and removing any and all friction and difficulty that I’m in the habit of experiencing. Let it be easy.

Your success is imminent. It is obvious. It is like gravity. Or sunrises. Or babies laughing. So is mine. It is all here for us when we surrender and trust. AND take the next aligned action- what feels good and right to do. Do THAT. Not the ugh thing. Do what feels right, not what feels heavy. And if it feels heavy and you have to do it, like take out the garbage, then find a way in your own heart to make it fun and rewarding.

I do nothing out of drudge or sacrifice. Everything I do, I find a way to feel the beauty in it. Mostly. And when I witness that I’m drudging through something, I come back into joy. Somehow.

Here are some of the ways I come back into bliss from the shit show:

1-I notice the tress

2-I take a deep breath and recognize the miracle of my body

3-I see how the earth provides everything we need

4-I tap into and feel the love streaming into my body from every tree and plant and the floors and walls because it all is love.

Just some food for thought today.

– “You KNOW that man must first reach out to God before God reaches out to him…”

– And I LOOOOOVE paying them each and every week!

It’s been amazing how anxiety and fear just melts away when I remind myself of these turn-arounds.

What kinds of turn-arounds can you use for your anxious and fearful thoughts before turning into panic and depression and ruin your day; what can you say to yourself to change uncomfortable feelings into utter joy so that you’re walking in faith and not by sight and can trust the Universe and believe again?

Who I Am and What I Do

When I was 12, all I wanted to do was to help people feel better about themselves. Why? Because I felt so bad about myself.

I remember being depressed at a very early age- maybe 3. Already taking the weight of the world on my shoulders and responsibility for things that were not mine to carry. There was nowhere to put that energy but back inside and it imploded with eating disorders, self-harming and lots of tears and inner blackness for as long back as I can remember.

There were hopeful, wonderful spots, too. Because there is this fairy believer inside of me that sees unicorns and marvels at nature and miracles. But when it came to people primarily, I was sunk- never seemed to get it quite right.

Come to 1995 when my mom died and it leaving such a hole in my being that when I couldn’t stop crying after 6 months, my well-meaning doc put me on 100mg of Zoloft (Sertraline), and that lasted for 18 years.

Finally, I woke up with the help of a coach who initiated my travel on the road of “Don’t believe what you are thinking.” This was brand new to me. I’d ALWAYS taken what I thought seriously. Now I knew something new. Within 9 months I was completely off of Zoloft and into a new way of believing.

I am much more tender and merciful now toward myself. I truly love myself where before I was a vacuous shell of self-loathing. This is what I have to share with you- the road out of feeling bad and the road to feeling better again or for the first time.

I know how to navigate the unseen world of the mind and what to do with its tricks. I know what to appreciate the mind for and what to ignore it for. I know what to do when my mind is going crazy and what to do when it brings me a good feeling.

I am a counselor who gets straight to the point and delivers the loving messages that I feel coming from inspiration rather than mind. Or logic. Or reason. But rather from compassion, grace and mercy. Exact Steps for Health in Stressful Times

It is so important that we know that our bodies are so strong and always tending toward more and more health- UNLESS you are saying things to yourself about how susceptible you are to the disease of the day. In this video, I share the EXACT STEPS to ALEAYS manifest health in whatever times.

Unless we are constantly on the lookout for the better-feeling thought, and actively pursuing that good feeling thought, we are prone to succeed, brim with health, and exceed our normal expectations.

What If This Was Heaven?

What if this was Heaven, Lorraine?

This just came to me today- what if this really is Heaven here, and it all came to us simply by how we look at things. What if it is so obvious that it is easy to miss- like hiding in plain sight? Everyone I’m studying now is pointing to this, and today it just dropped in. The game is this: what do we focus on? And what if every emotional and physical affliction were actually our opportunity to glimpse what’s in our way of seeing that truth.

I know that this sounds ‘out there,’ even to me, which take a lot. But we’ve been taught by well-meaning others (even if they tried to suppress us) since we were knee high that Heaven was a place far away that we only get to see once we pass over.

But I got it this morning- all of the trials and tribulations have just pointed to where we ‘ve bought that we’re unworthy, unlovable and defective, all for the purpose of discovering in our own way that the exact opposite is true!

I’m very excited about this!

My sister and I talked about it today and it started making some kind of sense- like waking up from a dream. What if we came here to find our way out of this mystery and discover how much love there really is all around us, how loved we are and how abundant the Universe really is,? Then what a fantastic game!

What if all the things that happened “to” us were really clues to the exact opposite reality? What if we were really in a Divine Treasure Hunt and the point was to see how fast we would see the truth about who we are and realize that this REALLY IS Heaven, but that most of the world is caught up and lost, side-swiped and fooled into thinking that the obstacles are reality, when really it is not.

It makes sense to me. I can look at every hardship now and say the evolution I’ve gained from it and learned how strong it has made me where before, I felt like a victim. In fact, Mike Dooley says in Infinite Possibilities that we actually picked our cast of characters before we arrived here and each volunteered to do each uncomfortable deed to lead us to that evolution and learning.

Food for thought in this time where everyone around us is losing their sh*t about almost everything. But what are they paying attention to? The news? Their neighbor’s or co-worker’s complaining? Their own personal Hell? We know from quantum mechanics that what we focus on expands.

I’ll tell you where I’M focusing…

While my fellow brothers and sisters look at what’s right in front of them and draw conclusions about about what it means aka that things are awful, I’m disciplining myself to focus on the beauty, the peace, the blessings, the abundance. I am focused on the leaves that send me love and the trees that have lovely messages for me.

There are miracles in every flower- the geometry of every insect and perfection of each animal is verification- I look in wonder at all that is around me. I am growing in awe.

And crop circles absolutely blow my mind! Infinite intelligence communicating to staffs of grain to lay down in exact geometric patterns; they that have gotten more advanced through the years. I’ve studied them since my chance lecture with Michael Glickman, Founder of Centre for Crop Circle Studies. He passed this year and I feel very fortunate that I attended his Standing Room Only talk, knowing absolutely nothing about the subject, in an old Santa Cruz auditorium. I was a convert as he showed slides of stalks bending, not breaking, as they ‘obeyed’ the consciousness of unified emergence for a beautiful end.

Very much “Food for Thought.” What if all there really only is love, health and abundance as the ancient texts, and now modern sages declare, and what if we get to experience this Heaven only if we practice and focus on THAT. I see it. I wonder if you do, too?

My 6 Step Anxiety Hack

It used to take me out. Anxious feelings would swarm my body and I would disintegrate under its intimidation. I felt destroyed as I succumbed to its seductive coaxing saying, “Come and dive in alll the way into the deep end and let me swallow you up. And maybe you’ll never return.” Can you relate?

I was scared. And even though I now understand anxiety and have made such strides to stop it before it starts, I still am sometimes scared- until I remember my tools.

Here’s what I do at the first signs of anxiety:

1- I recognize my body cues so that I notice it fast- it’s in my stomach or my chest. It doesn’t feel good, so it’s easily recognizable when it happens.

2- As soon as I recognize what’s happening, at the very first sign of the swarming stomach or the clenching heart, I massage my heart and I begin breaking the spell by breathing. Just 1 breath can wake me up out of its lure. I keep deep breathing.

3- Once I wake up from its pull into the abyss, I recognize what’s happening and acknowledge that I don’t need to give myself over to the culprit thought that caused it. I DON’T need to wave the white flag and beg for mercy. Then…

4- … I actually lift out of that thought track that set me on the road to disaster to another wasted hour or day.

5- I find a better feeling thought, and FOCUS ON IT! Then that thought usually leads to another good thought. THIS is the work!

6- Lastly, I RUN to my mentors and wash my brain with either a You Tube or a recording of one of my trusted mentors- Dr. Joe Dispenza, Matt Kahn or Michael Neill to name a few.

Even if it is still a bit of a shaky day, I know that I am in the process of building the muscles for remembering who I am. I am a daughter of The Most High God. I am not a sniffling weakling, like I feel at first, at the mercy of this emotion. And I start standing taller.

My mom used to say to me every day when I’d come home crying from school, “Tomorrow will be a better day.” And it always was. And it still always is.

How Anxiety Serves You

There is a chemical, a hormone, called Noradrenalin that your brain produces when you are about to go into a downward spiral. It’s actually your body’s way of saying, “Hey- you need to back up NOW and get out of this dark alley!”

Noradrenalin is only supposed to last 1-5 minutes, but we tend to think that we need to find another worry to feel responsible for, look for more problems so that we can feel prepared and look for another disaster so that we’ll be informed.

Nope.

We are supposed to take this early warning signal to find a better feeling thought- something to lift us out of the downward spiral before we hit panic.

Find anything good. Leaves on a tree, your grandchild’s or child’s smile or hug, the clouds in the sky, the nice car you have and are thankful for, these are all examples of something that you can shift your thoughts toward.

Dr. Bill Pettit says that when anxiety shows up, it is an invitation to “…leave your thinking alone.” This means to not make decisions from here or give it much credence. You are in an altered state of mind, obviously, if you feel anxious.

Remember this- if we have the courage to leave our thinking alone instead of jumping in and trying to solve problems from this place, we will be able to access a better feeling thought, and then another and then another. This is the upward spiral and what we are all looking for.

Anxiety Is Your FRIEND?!

What if anxiety was your early warning signs that you were headed in the wrong direction? What if it were the first clue that you need to shift gears and move in another direction? What if anxiety was the flashing red light that said, “You’d better find another roadway to travel, because this one is fraught with danger.”

That is exactly what anxiety is. It is our early warning sign that we are heading in the wrong direction with our THOUGHTS (that’s right, our THOUGHTS create anxiety) are not producing any good result. Our thoughts at the moment are taking us down the wrong road that does not feel good and will only feel worse as we continue with them.

If we were to pay attention to how we FEEL, and were to notice the first signs of discomfort in our bodies, then we would be golden. But instead, we chew away at the sideways thoughts that pop into our heads because we think that we must solve the problems or discomforts. Not so. They are best left alone. I am learning to turn these distressing notions over to Source, the Angels and whoever will listen from the Higher Realms because in my own strength and wisdom I just do more damage with all of the internal justifying, explaining, validating and convincing that are my best effort.

Anxiety is our friend indicating that we need to halt and go another direction- hopefully a better feeling direction. Take a breath outside to break the trance. Find a tree and really look at its leaves. Examine its bark. Find a flower and witness the geometry present in every blossom. Anxiety is our wake up call saying, “Come back to well-being. Come back to your center, Come off the ledge and come back to beauty. Relax. Do what you can and need to do at the present moment, but let go of your grip and relax your jaw.”
