Hey there-
When we stress and worry, we create a very harmful chemical cocktail in our body. Anxiety is only supposed to last from 1-5 minutes- it is our body’s warning sign to back out of the thoughts that created this feeling. Find another thought and feel better fast.

Your world has just been turned upside down.
Every chemical cocktail possible has been floating around in your body since conception.
And now that you have this beautiful baby, you’re supposed to be happy, right?
What’s going on???
Well, let me tell you- a lot. You’re not getting sleep now and you wonder if you ever will.
You wonder if your relationship with your partner will ever be the same, and you feel deep down that, no, it has shifted forever.
Will you and your partner be okay?
Will you be able to raise this baby well?
Maybe you want your parenting to be different than your parents, but how will you do that?
You wonder, “Will I be able to pull this off?
Your body has just gone through a MAJOR adjustment. You hurt. Sometimes you get irritated and you wish you didn’t. There’s no time for you anymore.
All of these life adjustments are enough to send you into worry and despair, but remember that hormone cocktail? We’ve got that going on and it’s effecting everything..
Here are some simple tips to help you a bit while the storm calms down.
1-Time. As time passes you will see how things are working out and that you are doing well at this new life job. Things will settle down and balance out soon.
2-Try not to project worry into the future. You will know what to do when it is needed. And if you’re wondering about something, there are plenty of people who can share their advice and helpful hints.
3-In time, this hormone soup in your body will go back to normal. Right now, it is whipping you around emotionally. Breathe deeply, get someone to be with the baby while you take naps, walk, bathe, take a long, nice shower and do some of the normal things that made you feel like you before you had the baby.
4-This is a new big adventure that you have embarked on. Some theories are that your child picked you as their parents before they emerged here. If that is so, you have nothing to worry about. You are just what they desired for the unique things they will learn from being under your care.
5-Most of all, be gentle with yourself. Do not put big expectations on yourself now. This is your life, too- not just the baby’s. And even though they seem to be the star of the show now, you are still mom, the queen of the roost. It will all come into balance in time.
Being gentle with yourself. Relax expectations. Ask for help.
